Tapestry Dance Company is committed to that which is authentic and sacred to dance. With a strong emphasis on classical training, the company seeks to embody truth and beauty, and visually communicate the imprint of God. Members of the dance company have choreographed and performed many original productions, such as Towards Jerusalem: The Dance of Christ's Passion, Illumination: Dances of Sorrow, Hope, and Joy, Christmas presentations, recitals, and accompanied Gloriæ Dei Cantores and Vox Cæli Sinfonia in several fully staged operas including Handel's Saul, Vaughan Williams' Pilgrim's Progress, and Menotti's beloved Amahl and the Night Visitors.
Members of Tapestry Dance Company have studied with a variety of dance teachers including James Reardon, former soloist of the Boston Ballet, Catherine Batcheller and Joseph Cipolla of the Birmingham Royal Ballet, the Paul Taylor Dance Company in New York, Jacques D'Amboise, former leading danseur for the New York Ballet Company and Ruth Andrien, former principal dancer of the Paul Taylor Dance Company.
